Terms and Conditions

The National Internship Portal (“the Portal”) is operated by the All India Council for Technical Education (“AICTE”), Ministry of Education, Government of India. By registering on or using the Portal you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Portal.

The Portal connects students with internships offered by government bodies, public sector undertakings, urban and rural local bodies, institutions and private organisations, and supports applications, selection, offer letters and certificates. Registration and use of the Portal are free for students. AICTE may add, change or withdraw any feature or programme at any time.

• Everything you provide at registration and in your profile must be true, current and complete.
• You may hold only one account of each type, and you may not register on behalf of someone else without authority.
• Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account; tell us at once if you suspect it has been misused.
• Organisations and government bodies must register only through a person authorised to act for them.

• Apply only to internships you genuinely intend to take up, and respond to interview calls and offers in good time.
• Selection is decided by the organisation offering the internship. Registration or applying does not guarantee an internship, a stipend, or employment.
• Once you accept an offer, follow the rules of the host organisation and of the programme it belongs to.

• Post only genuine internships, with accurate details of the work, duration, location and any stipend, and honour the terms you publish.
• Never charge students any fee for applying, selection or placement.
• Use applicants' personal data only to select and manage interns for the internship they applied to, keep it secure, and do not share it or use it for any other purpose.
• Issue offer letters and certificates only for internships that were actually offered and completed.

• Submit false, misleading or forged information or documents, including fake certificates or offer letters.
• Impersonate any person or organisation.
• Post unlawful, offensive or misleading content, or advertise anything other than internships.
• Try to gain unauthorised access to any account or data, interfere with the Portal's operation, or collect other users' data by automated means.

The Portal's design, text, logos and software belong to AICTE or its licensors. Logos of partner organisations belong to those organisations. You keep ownership of what you upload, and you allow AICTE to store and display it as needed to run the Portal and the programmes you take part in.

AICTE may suspend or close an account, remove a posting, or withdraw a certificate that breaches these terms or was obtained using false information. You may stop using the Portal at any time and ask for your account to be closed as described in the Privacy Policy.

AICTE works to verify organisations on the Portal, but the internship itself is an arrangement between the student and the host organisation. AICTE is not a party to it and is not responsible for the conduct of any organisation or intern.

The Portal is provided “as is”. AICTE does not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors and, to the extent permitted by law, is not liable for any loss arising from its use.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.

AICTE may revise these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Portal means you accept it. Questions about these terms can be sent to internship@aicte-india.org.
