Central Public Works Department (CPWD)
Established in 1854, CPWD is the principal engineering organisation of the Government of India, under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. It plans, builds and maintains central government buildings, residential colonies, heritage estates and national landmarks — including the new Parliament Building and the Central Vista.
Through the AICTE National Internship Portal, CPWD offices across India now open their live works to students — with a mentor, a stipend on most roles, and a government certificate at the end.
