The Ministry of Cooperation, established in 2021, is the first dedicated ministry for India's cooperative sector — a network of 8.5 lakh cooperatives serving 29 crore members across agriculture, dairy, sugar, fisheries and rural credit. As an AICTE partner, the Ministry brings structured policy, research and field internships to the National Internship Portal, placing students inside PACS computerisation projects, cooperative revival programmes and sector-specific research units.
