Microsoft

Industry skilling partner · Future Ready Talent with AICTE

A student building and deploying a cloud application on a laptop

Interns work through a learning path first, then build and deploy a project of their own.

Microsoft works with AICTE on industry skilling for technical students: guided learning paths on cloud, AI and application development, followed by a capstone project that is built and deployed on real infrastructure. What you hand in is a running application and a repository — not a certificate of attendance.

Where interns are placed

Four tracks. One stack.

Cloud, AI, data and security are the four places the programme puts an intern, and they share one platform — what you learn in the first shows up in the other three. The chip on each tile is the size of the search it opens.

Eligibility & what you get

Who can apply, and what it is worth

The programme is open through your existing AICTE profile. Selection, duration and stipend are decided per posting by whoever publishes it.

Build, deploy, defend

A project that stays online

The capstone is deployed, not submitted as a document. You finish with a running application, a repository and a URL you can put on a CV.

Who can apply

Students of any branch at an AICTE-approved institute. The entry modules assume no prior cloud experience; a posting may add its own year or branch conditions.

Duration

Virtual internships typically run a few weeks of guided learning followed by a project window. The exact dates are stated on each posting.

Certificate on completion

A QR-verifiable AICTE certificate issued against the posting you were selected for, alongside whatever the programme itself recognises.

One profile, every posting

Your existing AICTE profile applies here. No separate partner registration, no second document upload, no application fee — ever.

Learn before you build

Self-paced modules on cloud fundamentals, AI services and application development come first, so the capstone is the last step rather than the first.

Reviewed by a mentor

Submissions are assessed by programme mentors, and your institute sees the same completion status on its own dashboard.

Stipend as posted

Where an opening declares a stipend it is shown on the posting and paid through the portal. Virtual skilling tracks are often unpaid — the card says which.
