About Datawise: Datawise Services Private Limited is a 20 year old market research organization based out of Hyderabad. We provide Market Research and Consultancy Services across various sectors like BFSI, Retail, Aviation and Healthcare. We have offices in India and the USA and have clients across the world. Datawise has been engaged by DPIIT, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of the Government of India to conduct surveys for Measurement of Cost of Regulation in India. The insights from these surveys will be used to remove perceived actual bottlenecks that new enterprises face while setting up businesses. This will help improve our global ranking on Ease of Doing Business. India improved to rank 63 in 2019 and aims to improve substantially in the next global ranking exercise. Objective: The objective is to conduct surveys of Industry users, and intermediaries providing relevant services and interviewing experts on areas related to direct and indirect cost impact arising from approvals renewals of shortlisted government services such as environmental clearances, building plan approvals, factory plan approvals, electricity, and water connection approvals etc. We encourage students to do the surveys on behalf of Datawise as this provides them ample exposure to various organizations across different industry verticals. It also provides them exposure to meeting senior people in these organizations and resultant networking opportunities for themselves. Responsibilities: A questionnaire to conduct the survey will be provided by us. A database of Industries with contact details will also be provided by Datawise. Selected students will be provided training and will also be required to participate in focus group discussions before they are deployed on the field. Students are required to spare just 10 days to complete 12 to 15 successful surveys beginning third week of February and ending till 31st March 2025. We estimate that per survey a total of 1.52 hours will be expended with the actual survey taking 30 minutes, the rest being time taken to travel and fix appointments. Compensation: Students will be adequately compensated with an amount of Rs.7,500 all inclusive to complete the exercise.
