About the program

General Information: 1. The committee under the Block Education Officers, Panchayat Samittee will be responsible for appointing intern. 2. One internshall be assigned for every illiterate individual for teaching and learning purposes. 3. Interns will be engaged with the New India Literacy Programme. 4. Each intern will be assigned to a specific school. 5. The school will provide proper guidance and training to interns. 6. This internship opportunity is exclusively open to students from colleges and universities lcoated within the state of Maharahstra. Roles and Responsibilities of Intern: 1. Conducting survey of illiterate individuals and registering them on the ULLAS mobile application 2. Teaching illiterate individuals at their convenience and suitable times. 3. Regularly submitting progress reports of the teaching and learning process of illiterate individuals to the school. Key Activities: 1. Conducting rallies to publicize the New India Literacy Programme during Independence Day and Republic Day. 2. Organising various competitions at the school level on International Literacy Day. 3. Promoting NILP through various media channels such as radio, television, newspapers, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
