Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing: Assign students to identify vulnerabilities in a system or network and perform penetration testing to evaluate its security. Security Incident Response: Develop a simulated security incident and task students with responding to and mitigating the incident. This can include investigating the incident, collecting evidence, and implementing remediation measures. Secure Coding: Assign students to review and analyze code for security vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for improving code security. This can include topics such as input validation, secure authentication, and protection against common web application attacks. Network Security Monitoring: Set up a network monitoring environment and task students with monitoring network traffic for suspicious activities or potential security breaches. They can learn to analyze logs, detect anomalies, and respond to potential threats. Security Awareness and Training: Students can develop cybersecurity awareness campaigns, training materials, or presentations to educate others about common threats, best practices for online safety, and how to protect personal information. Risk Assessment and Compliance: Assign students to conduct risk assessments for an organization's IT infrastructure, evaluate compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, and provide recommendations for improvement. Mobile Application Security: Task students with analyzing the security of mobile applications, identifying vulnerabilities such as insecure data storage, inadequate authentication, or insecure communication channels.
