About the program
DESCRIPTION: National Urban Livelihood Mission is a scheme under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs that focuses on reducing poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households. The main objective is to build the capacity of the urban poor, their institutions and the machinery involved in the implementation of livelihoods development and poverty alleviation programmes through handholding support. Responsibilities The intern is responsible in mobilization of urban poor individual and SHGs is an important investment for an effective and sustainable poverty reduction programme and also in setting up gainful self-employment ventures micro-enterprises, suited to their skills, training, aptitude and local conditions. It will also support Self Help Groups (SHGs) of urban poor to access easy credit from bank and avail interest subsidy on SHG loans. Any other activity assigned by the authority. Relevant skills required: Positive attitude Communication Professionalism and strong work ethic Willingness to learn Common computer skills required to work in an e-office environment.
