About the program

This is a 6 week online Data Science and Analytics internship designed to provide hands on experience in data handling analytics and business intelligence. Interns will work with real world datasets perform analysis build dashboards and generate insights similar to industry data teams. The focus of this internship is practical implementation problem solving and portfolio development. Internship Structure Week 1: Introduction to Data Science and Business Data Understanding Data Science Role of Data Analysts and Data Scientists How businesses use data for decision making Structured and unstructured data Python basics for data analysis Setting up Python and Jupyter Notebook Internship Tasks: Set up the development environment Write basic Python scripts for data handling Mini case study on how data improves business decisions Week 2: Working with Data NumPy for numerical computation Pandas for dataset handling Reading CSV and Excel files Understanding rows columns and features Handling missing values Basic data cleaning techniques Internship Tasks: Clean a raw dataset Perform basic data summarization Submit cleaned dataset with explanation report Week 3: Data Analysis and Insight Generation Descriptive statistics including mean median variance and standard deviation Identifying trends and patterns Data types and structures Grouping and aggregating data Basic data transformation techniques Internship Tasks: Perform exploratory data analysis Identify key insights from dataset Create a short analytical report Week 4: Data Visualization and Storytelling Creating charts using Matplotlib Advanced visualization using Seaborn Interactive charts using Plotly Selecting appropriate charts for data Presenting analysis through visual storytelling Internship Tasks: Create charts for business insights Build a mini visual report Present findings using structured visuals Week 5: Databases SQL and Business Tools Introduction to databases Understanding SQL Writing basic SQL queries Filtering sorting and selecting data Joining multiple tables Introduction to Power BI Connecting datasets to dashboards Internship Tasks: Write SQL queries for real dataset Extract insights using SQL Connect dataset to Power BI or Tableau Week 6: Business Intelligence and Capstone Project Creating dashboards Power BI or Tableau basics Data storytelling for business decisions Real world analytics case studies Final project development and presentation Final Internship Project: Create a complete analytics dashboard using real world data including Cleaned dataset Key business insights Visual charts Basic trend analysis or prediction Final dashboard presentation Each intern must submit a project report dashboard file and presentation for evaluation. Weekly assignments and final project submission are mandatory. Internship completion certificate will be issued after successful evaluation.

Terms of Engagement

This is a 6 week unpaid online internship. Minimum participation of seventy five percent is required. Weekly practical assignments must be completed. Final dashboard project submission and presentation are mandatory for certification. Certificate will be issued after successful performance evaluation.
