About the program

Gnanadhara Foundation, a nonprofit organisation committed to uplifting communities through education, skill development, and social welfare programs, is offering a two-month, part-time, non-stipend Human Resources Internship designed for individuals who are passionate about social impact, people development, and organisational coordination. As an HR Intern, you will play a meaningful role in supporting the HR team across various people-centric functions that enhance the experience of volunteers, interns, and staff members. Your responsibilities will include assisting with end-to-end recruitment activities such as drafting and posting volunteer or intern openings, screening applications, shortlisting suitable candidates, and conducting initial communication or interactions with applicants. You will also support the onboarding and orientation process by preparing necessary documentation, guiding new members through organisational policies, and ensuring a smooth transition into the team. In addition, you will help maintain HR records, databases, attendance sheets, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality. The role further involves contributing to the development of HR policies, internal guidelines, and volunteer engagement initiatives that strengthen organisational culture. You will coordinate training and development sessions by handling scheduling, communication, follow-ups, and logistical requirements. The internship also includes participation in internal communication activities, team-building events, volunteer coordination, and preparation of participation lists for organisational programs. You will assist in basic HR operations such as documentation, report preparation, drafting communication materials, and supporting event-related tasks. This internship will help you gain essential skills in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR operations, documentation, communication, people management, leadership, organisational coordination, administrative functioning, and professional networking within the nonprofit sector. The position is open to students or graduates from any academic discipline who possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, a basic understanding of HR concepts (preferred but not mandatory), enthusiasm for community development, and the ability to commit to flexible part-time hours for two months. In return, the internship offers a Certificate of Completion from Gnanadhara Foundation, valuable hands-on experience in HR processes within a social impact environment, opportunities to interact with diverse volunteers and organisational leaders, and personal development in communication, coordination, and leadership—making it a strong addition to your resume and future HR career path.

Perks

Interns will be awarded a Certificate of Completion upon successfully fulfilling the internship requirements, along with a Letter of Recommendation and an Experience Letter that clearly outlines their HR responsibilities and contributions. The role provides comprehensive, hands-on exposure to core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and volunteer coordination. With flexible working hours, the internship is well-suited for students seeking practical experience alongside academic commitments. Interns will have the opportunity to work within a structured non-profit environment, contributing directly to social impact initiatives while gaining practical insights into organisational operations. The position supports the development of key professional competencies such as communication, coordination, leadership, and HR operations. Additionally, interns will benefit from meaningful networking opportunities with volunteers, coordinators, and project leads, as well as ongoing guidance and mentorship from experienced HR team members. The internship follows a project-based learning approach, enabling participants to engage in real-time HR tasks and organisational events that strengthen their practical understanding and enhance career readiness.
