About the program

The AICTE Cyber Security internship provided a comprehensive understanding of securing systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. The program focused on building strong foundational knowledge in cybersecurity principles along with practical exposure to realworld security practices. During the internship, I learned the fundamentals of cybersecurity, including network security, cryptography, ethical hacking basics, and risk management. I gained knowledge about common cyber threats such as malware, phishing, ransomware, and social engineering attacks, and how to prevent them. I also explored security tools and techniques used for vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. The internship introduced me to concepts like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption methods, and secure coding practices. I learned how to identify vulnerabilities in systems and apply appropriate mitigation strategies. A key part of the internship involved handson activities and project work, where I analyzed security risks, performed basic vulnerability assessments, and implemented security measures. This helped me understand realworld cybersecurity challenges and solutions. Additionally, I learned about security standards, policies, and best practices followed in the industry. The internship enhanced my analytical thinking, problemsolving abilities, and awareness of cybersecurity threats. Overall, this internship strengthened my knowledge in cybersecurity and prepared me for roles in protecting digital systems and data from cyber threats.
