About the program
We are offering a Research Internship in Vehicle Design and Analysis focused on core automotive engineering systems including chassis suspension steering and braking systems. This internship is designed for engineering students who want to develop strong fundamentals in vehicle engineering and practical system level design thinking. The internship follows a structured research based approach where selected interns will study vehicle architecture and understand how individual subsystems interact to form a complete vehicle system. Interns will work on guided technical activities that involve understanding vehicle load paths structural behaviour and the role of different components in maintaining vehicle safety and performance. During the internship students will study chassis design fundamentals including frame architecture concepts load transfer behaviour and material selection principles. Interns will perform basic load and stress calculations for structural members using standard engineering methods. The program will also include research activities related to suspension geometry steering system layout and braking system fundamentals. Students will understand the importance of suspension alignment parameters and their influence on vehicle stability and handling. Interns will also be introduced to basic vehicle dynamics concepts such as weight distribution braking force behaviour and system level performance analysis. Selected candidates will assist in CAD modelling of basic automotive components and will understand how engineering drawings and digital models are used in design validation processes. The internship will also focus on structured technical documentation and analytical thinking. Interns will be required to record observations prepare calculation summaries and submit technical research reports based on their assigned tasks. These activities are designed to improve problem solving skills analytical reasoning and engineering communication ability. The primary objective of this internship is to bridge academic knowledge with industry oriented vehicle design methodology. The program aims to provide students with exposure to real engineering thought processes including understanding functional requirements performing validation calculations and evaluating design feasibility. By the end of the internship participants will gain a strong understanding of vehicle system architecture and the fundamentals of chassis suspension steering and braking system design. Students will also improve their technical documentation skills and develop confidence in interpreting engineering data and design parameters. This internship is suitable for students pursuing Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering Automobile Engineering Electrical Engineering or related fields. Candidates should have basic knowledge of engineering mechanics strength of materials and fundamental CAD concepts. The internship is research oriented and intended to strengthen engineering fundamentals through guided learning and structured technical activities.
