A Software Testing internship often called a QA Quality Assurance Internship is a role where you learn to ensure that software products work correctly, safely, and efficiently before they reach the user. It has evolved from simply "finding bugs" to being a "quality advocate" who uses AI tools, automation, and critical thinking to validate complex systems.

Terms of Engagement

Notice Period: Most internships are "at-will," but a 1–2 week notice is standard if you or the company decide to end the engagement early. The "Shadow IT" Trap: Never install personal browser extensions or "helper" tools on your work machine unless they are in the terms of engagement. In RPA, this is considered a major security breach.
