About the program
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Web Developer Intern to join our team and contribute to the development, testing, and improvement of modern web applications. This internship is designed to provide hands on experience with real world projects, exposing you to frontend and backend development, version control, collaborative workflows, and professional development methodologies. As a Web Developer Intern, you will work closely with senior developers, designers, and project managers to build user friendly, visually appealing, and high performing websites and applications. This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or career changers who want to strengthen their skills, grow their portfolio, and gain industry experience in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development of responsive, interactive, and accessible web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Support frontend development tasks using frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, depending on project requirements and your learning path. Contribute to backend development by working with Node.js, PHP, Python, or other server side technologies, helping build and maintain APIs and server logic. Collaborate with UIUX designers to transform mockups, wireframes, and prototypes into functional, visually accurate web pages. Participate in debugging efforts by identifying, documenting, and resolving software issues across different devices, browsers, and environments. Assist in performance optimization efforts, including improving page load times, minimizing scripts, optimizing images, and reducing rendering delays. Help maintain and update existing websites or applications by implementing new features, enhancements, and fixes. Conduct browser compatibility testing, responsive layout checks, and accessibility reviews using industry guidelines e.g., WCAG. Work with version control systems, primarily Git, to manage code updates, branches, commits, and pull requests. Participate in code reviews to learn best practices, receive constructive feedback, and improve code quality and maintainability. Document code changes, workflow processes, API structures, and feature implementations for internal team use. Contribute to Agile development processes by joining daily standups, sprint planning meetings, and retrospectives. Research and experiment with new tools, libraries, and web technologies to improve development processes and bring fresh ideas to the team. Assist in quality assurance tasks such as functional testing, regression testing, and user experience evaluations. Learn how to integrate third party APIs, SDKs, and external services into existing applications. Support the deployment and release process by participating in staging environment testing and verifying deployment results. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and project goals are met. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast paced development environment. Take initiative on small tasks and contribute to the teams workflow with a positive, problem solving approach. What You Will Learn Practical experience in both frontend and backend web development, gaining a clearer understanding of full stack concepts. Modern web development tools and workflows, including Node.js environments, package managers NPM Yarn, build tools, bundlers, and preprocessors. Best practices for writing clean, modular, reusable, and scalable code. Real world debugging techniques, performance optimization strategies, and cross browser testing methods. How to work with databases SQL or NoSQL, handle queries, and manage data flow between client and server. The structure of professional development environments, including Agile methodologies, team collaboration tools, and sprint structures. End to end workflows, from design handoff to deployment, and how teams collaborate to produce finished digital products. How to read and understand design systems, style guides, and user experience documentation. Version control mastery, including branch management, resolving conflicts, handling pull requests, and using Git for collaborative development. Exposure to web security best practices, such as data validation, sanitation, and handling common vulnerabilities. The ability to think critically about usability, performance, accessibility, and user experience. Qualifications Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with at least one frontend framework React, Vue, or Angular is a plus, but not required. Exposure to backend languages like Node.js, Python, PHP, or Java is beneficial but not mandatory. Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile first development. Ability to use Git or willingness to learn version control quickly. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn new technologies, accept feedback, and adapt to new challenges. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related discipline preferred but not required. A portfolio, GitHub account, or personal projects demonstrating your interest in web development is a plus. Terms of Engagement
Training Phase (Up to 3 Months or Less) All selected interns will undergo basic project training for a period of up to three (3) months, or less, depending on: The candidate’s learning speed and performance Project structure and timelines Company operational requirements Assessment After Training After completion of the training phase (duration may vary), interns will undergo a performance assessment to evaluate: Understanding of project tasks and responsibilities Quality and timely completion of assigned work Technical skill development Attendance, discipline, and professionalism Communication and teamwork Stipend Eligibility Stipend will be provided only to those interns who successfully clear the performance assessment. Interns who do not clear the assessment may: Continue the internship without stipend (based on company discretion), or Be discontinued from the program. Internship Certificate All interns will receive an Internship Participation/Completion Certificate for the actual duration they have completed in the internship, regardless of whether they qualify for stipend or pass the assessment. The certificate will reflect: Duration of participation Department or project area Basic nature of the work handled (if applicable) Work Expectations and Conduct Interns are required to: Follow company policies and instructions Maintain professionalism, discipline, and confidentiality Submit assigned tasks on time Work responsibly and respect project guidelines Modification of Internship Structure The company reserves the right to modify, extend, shorten, or restructure any part of the internship program — including the training period, project tasks, schedules, timelines, work modes, and assessment processes — at any time based on operational needs, project requirements, or organizational priorities. Non-Employment Clause Participation in or completion of the internship program does not guarantee employment. Any future employment opportunity will be based on company needs, intern performance, and internal evaluation criteria.
