About the program

This course focuses on the identification, analysis, and characterization of plantbased chemical compounds through phytoprofiling techniques. It covers the study of primary and secondary metabolites, extraction methods, chromatographic and spectroscopic analysis, and bioactive compound profiling. Students will learn how phytoprofiling is used in drug discovery, herbal medicine standardization, nutraceutical development, and plant based research. Understand the concept and importance of phytoprofiling in plant sciences and medicine. Identify primary and secondary metabolites present in plants. Apply extraction and separation techniques for plant compound analysis. Analyze phytochemical profiles using chromatographic and spectroscopic tools.
