About the program
During the internship, the student works specifically on the construction of pump houses as a key component of water infrastructure projects. The intern assists in conducting detailed site surveys, preparing and reviewing construction drawings, and ensuring that all construction activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards. The intern supports the supervision of field activities, coordinates effectively with contractors and suppliers, and conducts quantity measurements of construction materials used on site. The intern actively participates in civil works execution, including concrete placement, formwork preparation, and structural construction of the pump house building. The intern also gains experience in monitoring the progress of construction activities, maintaining site documentation, and ensuring compliance with project timelines. This internship provides valuable handson exposure to project planning, structural design implementation, quality control, and resource management in water infrastructure projects.

Terms of Engagement
Duration of Internship: Typically 6 to 12 weeks, depending on project requirements. Working Hours: As per site-specific norms, generally 8 to 10 hours per day, 5 or 6 days a week. Location: Assigned project sites located across Maharashtra; site visits and fieldwork are mandatory. Reporting Authority: Intern will report directly to the Site Engineer or Project In-charge. Stipend: This is a non-paid internship unless specifically mentioned by the department. Compliance: Interns are required to strictly follow all safety protocols, site regulations, and environmental guidelines.
