About the program
Intern will learn following activities performed in a particular irrigation season through this course : A Intern will understand how to fix the quota of amount of water to be distributed at field with respect to demand comes from various farmer in command area of a particular dam project. B Organizing Canal Advisory Committee meetings as per prevailing government resolutions in the project's command area. C Procedure for the farmers submitting their water demand proposals in prescribed format Format7 to subdivisional office through concern section offices under water resources department and procedure adopted to publish Public Disclosure regarding submission of that water demands. D Deparmental procedure to approve such applications through competent authority of water resources department. E Planning the schedule of rotation of water based on water availability in a particular project. F Procedure for measurement of amount of water distributed while every rotation and levy water cess recovery based on prevailing government resolutions at the end of every irrigation season. G Maintaining Registers regarding water cess recovery and arrears of beneficiary.

Internship offers field exposure to the ongoing Irrigation Management works. Interns will get hands on experience in actual irrigation practices carried out for particular irrigation season such as Rabbi Season (November to March) out of Irrigation Year (July to June ).

- are from B.Tech. / B.E./ Equivalent,M. Tech. / M.E
- and specialisation from Civil (Construction),Civil (Construction)
- are available for duration of 8 Weeks
- have relevant skills and interests
Terms of Engagement
Duration of Internship: Typically 6 to 12 weeks, depending on project requirements. Working Hours: As per site-specific norms, generally 8 to 10 hours per day, 5 or 6 days a week. Location: Assigned project sites located across Maharashtra; site visits and fieldwork are mandatory. Reporting Authority: Intern will report directly to the Site Engineer or Project In-charge. Stipend: This is a non-paid internship unless specifically mentioned by the department. Compliance: Interns are required to strictly follow all safety protocols, site regulations, and environmental guidelines.
