About the program

1M1B Green Skills Academy in partnership with the All India Council for Technical Education and supported by Salesforce, SEMI as an industry partner offers a 5 week internship focused on Green Skills and Climate Action for Green Campus and Institutions. This program will begin with an orientation session on Understanding Green Skills and the importance of data for climate action followed by a quiz and a minitask to qualify for the internship program. The internship program will involve knowledge training sessions, and technical training on professional software tools along with practice sets, and will be assigned live projects to work on and implement. Students who will complete the internship, with a minimum of 60 hours of engagement will receive a Completion Certificate. The applicants will be invited to attend mandatory activation sessions, followed by session specific quizzes. Post that, the selection and onboarding of the interns will be done. The participants who attend the activation workshop and finish the quiz will be eligible to receive a certificate of participation, irrespective of their selection status at the internship program. Batch 4 will begin on 3 July 2025. Batch 5 is scheduled to begin on 21 August 2025.

Perks

Upon successful completion of the internship, students will receive a certificate indicating the number of hours completed, which can be considered for equivalent academic credits by their respective institutions or universities. In recognition of outstanding performance, top students will be acknowledged and provided with further opportunities, such as workplace experiences and job connections. Throughout the internship, students will work on live projects, applying their learning in real-world contexts within their colleges, communities, or local geographies. They will also receive mentorship and guidance from industry experts actively engaged in the green economy, helping them build valuable skills and insights. As a result, interns will be well-prepared to pursue emerging job opportunities in the growing green economy. Furthermore, their work will contribute to the development of sustainable educational institutions, positioning them as Sustainable Campus Ambassadors who lead change at the grassroots level.

Terms of Engagement

Applicants will receive an invitation to attend the activation workshop and complete an assessment. Shortlisted applicants will be notified after the assessment submission deadline. The entire internship will be conducted remotely with live projects to be implemented within the students college university campus or local community. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate an interest in sustainability and possess prior experience working with Excel. Selected participants will receive an internship offer letter upon the successful submission of all required assessments and project deliverables. Additionally any content or materials created during the course of the internship will be considered the property of the program and participants must consent to their use and dissemination by the program team.
